Madison County Home Builders Association is the home of the Registered Builders and Remodelers (RBR) program. The RBR program was developed by builders who share a common goal; higher standards.

It is the intent of the program developers to professionalize the building industry in Madison County and to educate and alert the general public in Madison County regarding the differences between a professional builder and those builders not carrying proper insurance, using written contracts and warranties and obtaining continuing education. The program was completed in 2008 with all builder members required to be Registered Builders. The program is administered by Registered Builders and has almost tripled in members since its inception.

The Madison County Home Builders Association (MCHBA) was organized in 1994. Today it has approximately 240 members, mostly from Madison County and surrounding Central Kentucky area. The group includes not only homebuilders, but also suppliers, bankers, insurance companies and other businesses related to the home building industry.

One of the major goals of MCHBA is to bring builders together to share information and exchange ideas. Another is working constantly to enhance the image and reputation of the building profession. The association’s focus is to improve and expand its services and to increase its membership.
